A completely rebuilt whiteboard
The whiteboard is new from the ground up. Everyone in the room now draws on the same board at the same time, and you can see where each person is working.
- Describe a diagram in plain English and the AI drafts it as editable shapes you can rearrange — try "system design for a video streaming service".
- Live cursors show who is drawing and where, with their name attached.
- Infinite canvas with shapes, connectors, arrows, freehand drawing, text and images.
- Edits merge properly, so two people working at once no longer overwrite each other.
- Undo and redo only affect your own work, never a collaborator's.

Resize the editor and files
The editor and file list used to share the screen exactly in half. Now you can drag the divider between them, or collapse either side entirely.
- Drag the divider to give either side more room.
- Collapse the editor or the files completely, and bring it back from the tab at the edge.
- Double-click the divider to snap back to an even split.
- Your layout is remembered and applied to every room you open.
Live video calls inside the room
Talk to the people you are already collaborating with, without moving to a separate meeting tool or sending another link.
- Start or join a call from the room you are in — the room link is the meeting link.
- See who is present in the room before anyone joins the call.
- Camera and microphone controls, with the call running alongside the editor, files and whiteboard.
Live reactions and raise hand
Respond to what someone is saying or doing without interrupting them or typing a message.
- Send 👍, 👏, 🎉 or ❓ and everyone in the room sees it float past.
- Raise your hand ✋ when you want a turn to speak.
- Works whether or not a video call is running.

Accounts and room ownership
You can still use a room without signing up. Creating an account now lets you keep your rooms together and control who can reach them.
- Claim a room so it belongs to your account rather than to whoever has the link.
- See every room you own in one place, with the storage each is using.
- Control whether visitors can edit or only view, and whether the link works for anyone or only signed-in people.
- Set a room to expire automatically when you no longer need it.
Find rooms you visited before
Losing a room link used to mean losing the room. The clock icon in the header lists rooms you opened recently, without needing an account.
- Kept in your browser only — nothing about your history is sent to us.
- Works whether or not you are signed in.
Preview files without downloading
Previews are no longer images-only. PDFs, text files, audio and video open directly in the room.
- Open a PDF, play a video or audio clip, or read a text file in place.
- Download only when you actually want the file.
